Florida Council of Chapters Military Officers Association of America to Hold ConventionThe 2009 MOAA Convention will be held at the Sirata Beach Resort on St. Pete Beach June 5 to 7, 2009. June 6, 2009 is the 65th Anniversary of D Day, June 6, 1944 and June 5 to 7 is the 65th Anniversary of the Liberation of Rome and the 67th Anniversary of the Battle of Midway which turned the tide of WW II in the Pacific. VADM Norb Ryan, USN (Ret) will be the Key Note Speaker Saturday morning with Lt Gen Allen Peck, USAF and Lt Gen Mike Wooley, USAF (Ret) also speaking. Over 250 officers and guest are expected.
