Celebration of a New OperaThe Pinellas Opera League, and the St. Petersburg Opera Company, along with the City of Largo, is proud to present the presentation of the Opera “The Barber of St. Pete,” which will premiere at the Largo Cultural Center on Friday, June 12, at 7 p.m. The opera is an adaptation for young children of Rossini’s “Barber of Seville.” The principal roles will be sung by professionals who sing in the St. Petersburg Opera’s “La Traviata,” and the chorus is made up of young children found in the area schools.
