Civitan to Form Youth Chapter in North Pinellas County

Junior Civitan, an International Service organization is looking for motivated and energetic 8th grade students as well as high school age students who are looking for service and leadership opportunities to be Charter members of a new Junior Civitan club organizing now in North Pinellas County.

Plans are to have the new club meet in the Clearwater/Dunedin/Palm Harbor area. However, the exact location will be announced later after hearing from interested students.

Junior Civitan's purpose is to provide all of their members with personal and career development opportunities while improving their community through service.

Established in 1932, Junior Civitan is a program of Civitan International. Worldwide membership totals average 14,000 members in 400 clubs. There are Junior Civitan Clubs in North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Their International website can be checked out at www.juniorcivitan.org.

Junior Civitans seek to meet the needs of our world and promote progress in a world of change. You can Go Global by joining this club and making a difference!

If you are interested in being a part of this new Junior Civitan Club, send an email to Clearwater Civitan Club Member and Club Builder Frank Kelley at awacs85@gmail.com expressing your interest. Once 30 responses are received, a meeting will be scheduled and notifications will be sent out to everyone who responded.

Tentative plans are to charter this club by July 1st so respond now so that you can be a part of this great organization.
