Medicine River Animal Hospital to Host a Day in the Park for the Health of Your Dog

In lieu of their annual Dog Wash, Medicine River Animal Hospital will be hosting a pet health fair at Walsingham Park on Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. They unfortunately had to cancel their Dog Wash due to water restrictions that were set before this last week of rain.

There will be numerous animal rescue groups and organizations including Southeast Guide Dogs, Great Pyrenees Rescue, SPOT, Coastal Poodle Rescue, Sunshine Corgi Rescue, HALO, and more. The purpose of this fair is to help raise awareness of these great organizations. Today's economic conditions have made it very difficult for these very valuable groups. They are trying to take care of the increasing number of pets that are being surrendered as their families can no longer afford them. So, please, attend to learn how you can make a difference.

This event will also help inform you of ways you can keep your pet safe and healthy this summer. There hopes are that a healthy, happy pet will help minimize your stress and increase your happiness during today's hard times.

They will also have demonstrations in the use of Acupuncture, Food Therapy, Massage Therapy, Chiropractic Techniques, and other ways to improve the health of your pet. There will also be Pet CPR, Behavior and Agility demonstrations, Hurricane Preparedness information, and more.

Pets have proven to help make us happier and healthier. So, don't miss out on this Fun and Informative Day for the Entire Family.
