
The National Society of Arts & Letters Inducts New Member
The National Society of Arts & Letters welcomed eight new members at their June 3rd Membership Luncheon at the Belleair Country Club. The following were inducted into the Society unanimously: Gloria Hollingsworth, Nan C. Hensley, Michael E.H. Russell, Roxanne Fay, Rae Wolf, Karen Scanlon, Kate Sullivan and a transfer from Michigan, Carol Cosenza. The First Place Winner of the $10,000. National Competition held this year in Washington D.C., Jack Holloway was to be the guest. Due to his work schedule he was unable to attend but sent a gracious thank you letter telling of his experiences in D.C. and how much winning at both the local level and the National level have changed his life opening new horizons to him. The National Society of Arts & Letters sponsors an annual competition focusing on a different area each year. The competition 2010 will be Literature namely the Short Story. More information will be forth coming in September.
