Leash LawAnne McKay Garris is incorrect on North Beach being the only place to allow dogs. Honeymoon Island, as well as Ft. DeSoto, are two (2) known beaches for dogs. Also, refer to the Clearwater Gazette, July 10-16, 2008, on the article written by Donna Malloy, " Who Let The Dogs Out?" concerning city ordinances. I have no problem with leash laws, but Clearwater needs to follow examples of other beaches and make rules for having pets on the beach instead of keeping them off. They need to look at Isles of the Palms in South Carolina to see how to make a pet friendly beach work. - Barb Robbins
