Dr. Neal Desai is Quest Speaker at Rotary Club of Clearwater
Dr. Neal Desai discussing Cataract, Corneal and LASIK eye problems and treatment procedures at the Rotary Club of Clearwater. Cataract and Cornea conditions, diseases, surgery and recent technological developments in the treatment of the eyes, and especially of cataracts and cornea related problems, was recently described at the weekly Wednesday noon meeting of the Rotary Club of Clearwater by Dr. Neal Desai, Ophthalmologist at the Eye Institute of Florida. The Rotarians at the Belleair Country Club luncheon meeting were treated to an eye full of videos, vividly demonstrating actual eye surgery procedures. Dr. Neal Desai, a Fellowship Trained Ophthalmologist, specializing in Cataract, LASIK and Corneal diseases, graduated from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University. He explained how research continues to improve on treatment of complex eye conditions, some resulting from trauma, birth defects and others that develop from family related traits. Improved diagnostic and surgical treatments of eye conditions provide faster healing, less bed confinement following surgery. Due to improved techniques in recent years, some patients who have been blind due to certain trauma, are now able to see.
