Yoga Classes on the Beach

Yoga classes are offered right on the beach of Indian Shores every Sunday at 6:30 p.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. ending with a beautiful sunset. Class is on the beach across from Indian Shores town hall, which is next to Salt Rock Grill, on the corner of 193rd and Gulf Blvd.

There are mixed degrees of skill and fitness in this Yoga class, men and women of all ages. This is a combined style of Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga. The instructor gives beginning to advanced variations to encourage working at a safe level yet challenging yourself as desired. Focus is on core strength, balance, proper body alignment, balancing strength and flexibility in all of the muscles, proper breathing techniques and stress reduction. Benefits include improved posture, alignment and breath control while increasing muscle tone and reducing stress. Instructor is Pat Jimenez, eRYT with over 20 years of teaching experience.

Suggested donation is $5- $15, 70% of all donations go to United Way of Tampa Bay. Bring a large towel, Yoga mat, water, sunscreen, and a friend! Pat provides a few blocks and straps but please bring your own if you have them. For more information go to www.yoga-dance.com
