Pirates Take Over Highland Pool for a DayPhotos/text by SANDI FAHY
Visitors to the Highland Family Aquatic Center in Largo were in for a special treat on June 27. They got to tour the Santa Margarita pirate ship manned by members of Ye Mystic Krewe of the Santa Margarita of Clearwater. Krewe members Jeff DiPolito and Paul Feaster are pictured with one of the many groups which came aboard that day. The Krewe was sponsor of Splash's Treasure Hunt, a special day at the pool which featured a search for hidden treasure. Youngsters 10 and under were invited to take part in the hunt.
