Create Your Own Avatar Contest
CLEARWATER - The Clearwater Public Library is hosting a "Create Your Own Avatar" contest for those in grades 6 through 12. Pick up a registration form at your local Clearwater library branch. The contest will end on July 18. An avatar is a computer user's cartoon-like animated representation of themselves or their alter ego.
Guidelines are as follows:
- Create your avatar on a computer.
- Avatars must be printed in color on an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper.
- Avatars must not contain anything deemed objectionable to the general public, such as profanity or nudity.
- The library will retain the avatar picture for use in a display throughout the Clearwater Public Library System during the summer.
- The creators of the top three avatars will each receive a prize. They will also be included in PPLC's Mosaic Teen Literary Magazine and their creations may be posted on the Clearwater Public Library's Website.
- Turn the printout of your avatar in with a registration form to any Clearwater Library location by July 18.
- The library will contact the winner(s) by July 24.
