Your Day to Play Largo Aquatics DivisionLARGO -The Aquatics Division of the City of Largo's Recreation, Parks and Arts Department invites the public to attend two family events on Saturday, July 11, to celebrate National Recreation & Parks Month. At Southwest Pool, 13120 Vonn Road, the U. S. National Synchronized Swimming Team will perform a water show beginning at 10:45 a.m. This Olympic Sport combines music, dance and athleticism into a choreographed routine. The gate will open at 10:30 a.m. and the admission is FREE. An autograph session will follow the water show inside the Southwest Recreation Center. Team photographs will be provided. End your family play day at the Highland Family Aquatic Center, 400 Highland Avenue from 4-6 p.m. Individual admissions will be reduced 50% and free hot dogs will be available while supplies last. In addition, a special television character will be on hand for socializing and pictures. The facility contains two pools with plenty of deck, grass areas and shade structures. The zero depth entry activity pool includes 5 slides, play features, spray area and water basketball. The multipurpose pool includes water volleyball, 3 story corkscrew slide, 3-story speed slide. Splashes snack bar will be open with family friendly pricing for prepackaged snacks and drinks. These aquatic events are brought to you as part of Largo, Its Your Day to Play.
