Safety Harbor Garden Club to MeetThe next meeting of the Safety Harbor Garden Club will be Wednesday, July 15, 9:30 a.m., at the Safety Harbor Library, 101 Second Street North. (Don't go to City Hall.) The speaker will be Phil Compton of the Sierra Club; his subject will be "Healthier Waters Through Responsible Landscaping." Your flower arrangement challenge will be "Leaves Only." You can use any vase or container (you aren't restricted to a mason jar anymore). Remember, this is not a contest, but a way to see how creative everyone can be. You can take your arrangement home, trade it, or even offer it for sale -- your choice. The program is free, and guests are invited. The refreshment committee always has delicious things for you to munch. Everyone will probably go out for lunch after the meeting, so you'll have a chance to talk to Phil one on one.
