City of Dunedin Names Assistant to the City Manager

Dunedin City Manager Robert DiSpirito has named Angela Montgomery to the position of Assistant to the City Manager. Ms. Montgomery, City Council Policy Analyst for the City of Richmond, Virginia, was selected from a slate of over 140 applicants. She has a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Clark Atlanta University and has served in a variety of public sector positions in Virginia and Ohio. "Angela brings a wealth of experience to Dunedin," DiSpirito said, "She is well positioned to make significant contributions that will help us to continue to serve our residents in challenging times." The position of Assistant to the City Manager was created as part of the cost efficiencies recommended for the city's 2010 budget. It replaces the Assistant City Manager position, which will become vacant with the retirement of Harry Gross at the end of August. Reached in Virginia, Montgomery said, "I look forward to serving the citizens of Dunedin and to becoming a part of this wonderful community."
