Police Sergeant David Dalton Promoted to LieutenantCLEARWATER - Clearwater Police Sergeant David Dalton has been promoted to the rank of Police Lieutenant. Lieutenant Dalton will serve as one of the department's Watch Commanders. The Watch Commander is responsible for allocating resources and administering Patrol operations throughout the city during the evenings. Lieutenant David Dalton joined the Clearwater Police Department in 2000. He has served in several capacities at the Clearwater Police Department, including an Internal Affairs Investigator, Robbery/Homicide Investigator, Crimes Against Children and Families Investigator, Traffic Crash Investigator and Patrol Supervisor. Lieutenant Dalton has received several awards and recognitions during his tenure with the department. Lieutenant Dalton's promotion will take effect September 26, 2009.
