CLEARWATER - The Island Estates Woman's Club launches its new season of community services and it needs your help. From food drives, breast cancer awareness and scholarship funds, they are always looking to better the community, make new friendships, and install good will amongst their members and guests. Dee Bucklew and Beverly Kennedy, of the executive board of the Island Estates Woman's Club, met this week with Kurt Leahy, General Manager, to finalize the kick off luncheon at Watercolour Steakhouse and Grille (Marriott Suites on Sand Key) on Tuesday, September 15th. This event will include a presentation by Zumba instructor along with some energetic members. So bring a guest and start off the season with Zumba. For this season some of the events will include October 20th - 2nd Pink is Beautiful (cancer awareness) at Island Way Grill. If anyone is interested in donating baskets or gift certificates for the Silent Auction please contact Dee at 946-4172 or Bev at 510-3262 by October 15th. Your help is needed. On November 17th luncheon will be held at Clearwater Yacht Club - Anti Aging/Med Spa, with local pharmacist, Pamela Seefeld, as guest speaker. Also, this is the Food Pantry month to help RCS. A spectacular Holiday Luncheon is scheduled for December 9th (Wednesday) at the beautifully decorated Carlouel Club with Noel Boutique back by popular demand. This is the only event that is held on Wednesday instead of the third Tuesday of the month. All ladies living on Island Estates are eligible for membership.
