Business and Professional Women Meeting Announced"Florida's 2009 Priority Legislation Affecting Women," will be the topic during the Business and Professional Women (BPW) meeting on Thursday, Sept. 3 at Gratzzi's restaurant in Baywalk, 199 2nd Avenue North in St. Petersburg. Networking is at 11:30 a.m. and the meeting begins at noon. The speaker, Jessica Lowe, is a Doctoral Student at Florida State University in Tallahassee and a lobbyist for BPW of Florida and the Florida National Organization for Women. Now in her 5th legislative session, Jessica works on a number of women's rights issues including the Equal Rights Amendment, Civil Rights, Education and public health. BPW St. Pete Pinellas is the local chapter of Business and Professional Women/USA. Founded in 1919, the organization is multigenerational and nonpartisan.
