Tampa Bay Rays & Big Brothers Big Sisters Partner to Raise Funds "Text To Give" Program Allows Donations Through Cell PhoneLARGO - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County, a non-profit organization which helps children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring, has partnered with the Tampa Bay Rays and Carlos Pena to kick off a new program, "Text To Give". The community can donate $5 to support Big Brothers Big Sisters by simply texting "CARLOS" to 40579. A public service announcement featuring Carlos Pena has been created and has begin airing on Clear Channel and Bright House Networks in the Pinellas County area and on Comcast nationally in September. "We are so thankful for our partnership with the Tampa Bay Rays, Carlos, and our local media partners," says Susan Rolston, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County. "These PSAs not only call the community to financially support Big Brothers Big Sisters, but also helps inform the public of the need for mentor volunteers."
