Kathy Roman Honored for Excellent Leadership
Florida's Ladies Auxiliary President Kathy Roman of Clearwater, was named Outstanding Department President of the Year for her membership group during the 96th National Convention of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) of the U.S. held at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Roman, who is a member of Higgins-Sutherland Memorial Auxiliary #1658, was honored for her excellent leadership during the 2008-2009 year. At this convention, she begins her 2009-1010 term as National Southern Conference Chairman for the Veterans & Family Support program. National President Dixie Hild of Omaha, Neb., made the announcement at a special luncheon presenting awards to the two top Department Presidents from each of the organization's 11 membership groups.
