Clearwater Pen Women to Host "The Water View" LuncheonClearwater Pen Women, who hail from St. Petersburg to Brooksville, will gather at Jack Willie's Tarpon Turtle, a restaurant on the northwest side of Lake Tarpon. Co-president Rosemary Potter announced the luncheon, which Potter is calling "The Water View," will be held Saturday, September 19, beginning at 11 a.m. Potter also promised a lively speaker in the person of her sister, Libby Burke. "Libby is a retired teacher and tri-athlete who is highly involved with environmental animal issues," Rosemary said. Burke volunteers with a number of area environmental organizations and has expressed some of her experiences in poetry and art, which she will share. Potter invites those attending to share, as well. "Bring one creative connection which relates to the meeting title," Rosemary said. "Could be a poem, painting, article, short story or music." The Tarpon Turtle is located at 1513 Lake Tarpon Ave., Tarpon Springs. The public is invited, but reservations must be made by calling Rosemary Potter at (727) 812-8401. The National League of American Pen Women, formed in 1897, is a non-profit organization comprised of professional women writers, artists, and composers.
