Recs and ReadsBy Anne McKay GarrisLibrary hours are changing, as of September 28. Instead of 9 to 1, the Beach Branch Library will be open from 1 to 5, Monday through Friday. The Wii electronic sports will be offered from 2 to 4 on Thursdays instead of on Wednesdays. Volunteers are needed to assist in the Wii program. All you have to do is learn how it operates and be there to help people get started at play and keep the careless few from doing damage to the equipment, or wandering off with some of it. This might be a chance for you to get in some regular exercise yourself. The Wii program includes tennis, boxing, bowling and a few others. You are invited to a party to wish our former librarian Linda Hamrell, a happy, well earned retirement. The party will be on Friday, September 25, from 2 to 5 at the Main Library, second floor, Youth Department. Ya'll come! Don't spend a dull and boring winter.
