Geoge Koder at Belleair Country Club on September 17. Deputy Chief Williams, director of the Clearwater/Tampa Bay Area Task Force on Human Trafficking, was honored by Zonta for his leadership and accomplishments of the task force, whose mission is to identify and rescue victims, create a coordinated law enforcement system to investigate and prosecute these crimes and deliver social, legal and immigration services to human trafficking victims in the Clearwater and Tampa Bay area. Lt. Koder will assume the position of director of the task force upon Williams' retirement at the end of this month. Proceeds from last week's luncheon will be used by the Zonta club of Pinellas to establish a special fund to assist victims of human trafficking. Recipients will be selected by Chris Warwick, director of The Haven, a Religious Community Services shelter for abused women.
