"Desperate Housewife to a Barbi Doll"On Wednesday, October 14, the Clearwater Christian Women's Club is hosting their monthly luncheon at the Cove Cay Country Club on the northeast corner of U.S. 19 and Haines Bayshore in Clearwater. "Beans About Cooking" store in Belleair Bluffs will be showing some of the latest gadgets and other novel utensils which are available to make cooking more fun. Bev Myers, a gospel singer from Largo, will be the guest soloist. Bev has traveled across the U.S. singing in trios and quartets. Barbara "Barbi" Villa of Largo will be the speaker. Barbi will show how she changed from desperate housewife into a real Barbi through a real extreme makeover. She had to deal with the debilitating effects of anxiety and depression. In looking forward to the November Fall Fun Fair, the Club is asking for new and slightly used items that can be sold on the dollar table or in silent auction. Bring these things with you this month. All women are welcome. The club is not affiliated with any church or denomination. There are no dues or membership. The luncheon is from 11:30 - 1:30.
