Supporting Parents in Pregnancy and Infant Loss
- Morton Plant Mease Hosts "Walk to Remember"
In recognition of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, Morton Plant Mease Health Care invites members of the community to participate in the 17th Annual Walk to Remember. The one-mile walk at Sand Key Park in Clearwater provides awareness about pregnancy loss, stillbirth or newborn death and support for grieving parents.
The walk will begin at 9 a.m., Saturday, October 10th, Sand Key Park, 1060 Gulf Blvd., Clearwater. Registration required by calling Gwynneth Everington at (727) 298-6619. Walk to Remember symbolically joins together people at walks across America to raise awareness about perinatal grief and ensure that sensitive care is given to parents who experience the death of a baby at any stage of pregnancy.
In addition to the walk, a Candlelight Remembrance Service will be held on Tuesday, December 1st at 7 p.m. at The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd. in Clearwater. For more information, call (727) 298-6619.
