Humane Society of Pinellas to Celebrate 60th Anniversary

CLEARWATER - The Humane Society of Pinellas is excited to invite the community to celebrate the beginning of its Diamond Anniversary on Saturday, October 10th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will have an Open House at HSP, 3040 State Road 590, Clearwater, to begin the celebration of their 60th year of giving and getting animals their due.

A fun day is planned beginning with bagels donated by Einstein Bagels, a celebration cake donated by Cakes on The Dot, refreshments, snacks and beverages available to the public. There will be games for children hosted by Megan, HSP's Humane Education Specialist, along with classes on nail trims for both dogs and cats.

Other visitors will also be at the shelter during the day, like Gloria Tesch, the world's youngest published novelist, with book signing available. And Julius, of Calendars by Julius fame, who will 'pawtograph' his calendar for 2010 and take a picture with vistors requesting one. Julius has a Forever Home and loving owner and all his needs are met and he wishes all his shelter friends have the same as him.

Calendars will be on sale at a reduced fee of $15 and the HSP receives one third ($5) for each calendar sold. They are also for sale on the link through HSP's website for the same price with no shipping cost - Julius' calendar not only has all the great photos but your purchase helps HSP's animals at the same time.
