LIADO to Host Italian Picnic and Celebrate Italian-American Heritage MonthLIADO, The Italian-American Women of Today will host its Picnic in the Park on Sunday, October 11th, in Philippe Park Shelter #2, 2525 Philippe Parkway, Safety Harbor. The picnic will feature home cooking at its best, including traditional Italian and American barbeque foods. A crowd favorite is LIADO's Famous Antipasto Salad. Delicious home made desserts will also be served. Al Forman will provide the music for singing and dancing. A Bocce Ball tournament will challenge all comers. Prizes will be awarded. This family friendly event which is open to the public will also feature games and activities for adults and children. Reservations by October 2 required: $15 per adult, children under 12 free. LIADO, The Italian-American Women of Today, will celebrate Italian-American Heritage Month at the East Lake Community Library, 4125 East Lake Rd, Palm Harbor on Saturday, October 10th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. LIADO will be presenting information on the Italian-American culture and heritage. The community is invited to join in the celebrating. Come enjoy the music, videos and explore genealogy. Of course, in the Italian tradition, "dolci" will be served for visitor's pleasure.
