
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk to be Held at St. Pete Times ForumDid you know that in 2008, nearly 60,000 Floridians joined the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer annual walk? Nationwide, there were more than 600,000 participants. This year, the American Cancer Society is hosting its annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at St. Pete Times Forum, 401 Channelside Dr., Tampa, on Saturday, October 17. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., walk begins at 9 a.m. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is an annual walk to help, support and honor breast cancer survivors and remember those who have passed from the disease. Walkers of all ages join this celebration of survivorship and awareness to help raise funds and express hope. Making Strides events have no registration fee and no fundraising minimum. You may start a team, join a team, or register to become and individual walker.
