Highland Recreation Complex supervisor Mandy Petersen applauds Carter Westrich's efforts in the running broad jump at Little Olympians Day on October 3. The event for ages 3-6 featured a "Big Wheels" race, bean bag distance throw, 50-yard dash, hurdle jumping and more. Each of the young athletes received a T-shirt and Olympic-style participation medal.
 The "Big Wheels" race is about to begin at the Highland Recreation Complex on October 3. The event was one of several activities for youngsters ages 3-6 at the third annual Little Olympians Day.
