Clearwater Yacht Club and the Clearwater Community Sailing Center to host U.S. Multihull ChampionshipThe Clearwater Yacht Club and the Clearwater Community Sailing Center will host the U.S. Multihull Championship October 18th through the 22nd. The racers will start and return to the Sand Key Park Beach. Teams will return to the beach after each race to switch teams and boats. Spectators are welcome to watch the action, free of charge, and meet the sailors who are competing for the Hobie Alter Cup, one of the nation's premier sailing championships. The perpetual trophy to be presented was named the Alter Cup in 1986 in honor of Hobie Alter, Sr. for his promotion of one-design multihull sailing and racing programs.
