15th Annual Halloween Spooktacular Event Set at Largo Central ParkLARGO - Plan on a ghoulishly good time at this year's Halloween Spooktacular event held at Largo Central Park. This widely popular, family-friendly event takes place on Saturday, October 24, from 4-10 p.m. and includes fun and games for kids of all ages. Join thousands of families as they walk the free trick-or-treat trail, and enjoy rides, games, music, concessions and much more. Guitar Hero, mechanical bull riding, bounce houses and rock climbing are just a few of the activities that make this a great event for the whole family. All ages are also encouraged to show off their pumpkin decorating skills at the event's Pumpkin Picasso contest. Decorated pumpkins should be dropped off at the stage in Largo Central Park between 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and will be on display throughout the entire event. Contest winners will be announced on stage at 7 p.m. Event wristbands go on sale Thursday, October 1, and can be purchased at all Largo recreation facilities. Wristbands are required for all games, rides and activities. Cost is $5 for recreation card holders and $6 without a card. All wristbands purchased the day of the event will be $7. Largo Central Park is located at 101 Central Park Drive, Largo. Event shuttles will be available from Largo High and the Pinellas County School Board.
