Clearwater City Manager Bill Horne Speaks to Clearwater Community Woman's Club
GFWC CCWC Public Affairs Chair Robin Kettle, on left, and club member Jan Reguiski, on right, thank Clearwater City Manager Bill Horne for presenting an outstanding program at a recent club meeting. CLEARWATER - Clearwater City Manager Bill Horne recently spoke to the members of the GFWC Clearwater Community Woman's Club at their monthly meeting at the Clearwater Main Library. Horne's topic was the current state of the city budget, how we got here and where the city is headed in the future. The club's Public Affairs Department, headed by Robin Kettle, planned the informative program for the club membership. The membership has been deeply concerned about the fate of the Clearwater Public Library system as they have a long standing history of supporting libraries both locally and on a national level. Many of the club members had personally lobbied the city council to save the North Greenwood and East Libraries. Members congratulated City Manager Horne on explaining a very complicated and sensitive subject in a thorough and understandable manner to the membership.
