Recreation Outreach Ministry (R.O.M.) Baseball, Softball and T-Ball to Start at Indian RocksLARGO - Recreation Outreach Ministry (R.O.M.) Baseball, Softball and T-Ball practice starts the week of November 9-13, and the season runs through February 6, 2010, at First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks, 12685 Ulmerton Road, Largo, for players 5-14 years old. R.O.M. is an instructional and competitive league that provides Co-Ed T-ball, Co-Ed Coach's Pitch, Player Pitch Baseball for the boys and Player Pitch Softball for the girls. Every player except T-Ball players, ages 5-6 years old, were evaluated October 24th. The following week evaluated players were drafted onto teams by their coaches. This ensures parity and protects the competitiveness of the leagues. The cost is $80 which includes uniform shirt, pants, socks, season play medal, possible tournament trophy, one practice per week, ten games including tournament, an awards ceremony, and great community and competition.
