Celebrate family fun at Boxer Bash - Wags 'n' WigglesCelebrate family, fun and Fido at the annual Boxer Bash - Wags 'n' Wiggles on Saturday, November 7, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Al Lopez Park located at 4810 North Himes Avenue, Tampa. Bring your family and Fido and enjoy a day of food, shopping, contests, raffles, silent auction, prizes, and a variety of both people and pet related vendors. Meet the Florida Boxer Rescue volunteers and Boxers. All proceeds go directly to saving the boxers. Florida has really felt the pain of the recession and pets are suffering because of it. Rescue groups such as Florida Boxer Rescue are doing everything imaginable to raise money to continue rescuing and paying the vet bills for the abandoned or neglected pets. "Rescuing these animals is expensive and in order for the group to continue, fundraisers such as this are a necessity," says Sandra Fleischman, with Florida Boxer Rescue. "Due to the economy, donations are down significantly. We need the community's help." A variety of prizes will be given away including tickets to a Buccaneer's football game, gift certificates to several area restaurants, SeaWorld passes, and Hotel get-aways.
