Caladesi Chapter DAR Celebrates 35th Anniversary

Caladesi Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, celebrated its 35th anniversary with a luncheon at the Dunedin Country Club on October 19. Special guest was Florida State Regent Barbara Whalin Makant, who spoke about her State Regents Projects. Other state officers present were Aida Register, Honorary State Regent and Dorris Folwell, Upper Pinellas and Pasco Regents Council President. Past Regents and Sons of the American Revolution members were recognized. Chapter Regent Patricia Monroe presented several attendance awards, one being 65 years to Lucy Dodd Myers. Any woman 18 years or older who can prove descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to join and is invited to attend the meeting. Call 727-733-5383 for more information.
