Decorative Artists Teach Others How to PaintPhotos/text by SANDI FAHY
The Heart of Pinellas Decorative Artists recently hosted a free "Learn to Paint" workshop for the public at the Dunedin Public Library. Above, participants are painting bamboo designs on flower pots. Workshop chair Helen Summers was pleased with the enthusiastic turnout. Purpose of the HPDA, local chapter of the National Society of Decorative Painters, is to share members' painting techniques and joy of painting with others in the community. The group, which has some 100 members throughout the Tampa Bay area, meets monthly at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church in Largo. For more information, call (727) 871-0778.
