IEYC Holds Annual Meeting and Member RecognitionIEYC's annual meeting and member recognition was held Friday, Nov. 13, at the Duval Center at the Holiday Inn, Clearwater Beach. Hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, and dessert chocolate fountain were served, with Island Music by "Lucky Nat." Miles Curry put on a show of the last two year's activities with photos by Gary Bookout. Miles Curry, Gary Bookout, along with Fay Nicholson and Patricia Ostrosky, received "Honorable Mention" awards. Gerri Fortino, Jean Sanders, Laurelee Bernard and Barbara Keast were the Butterflies that did a great job for the year. Others that did outstanding work were Joel Briskman, Gary Bookout, Chuck Stebbins, Sue Speck, Jim Ostrosky, Marcia Coxhead, Fay and Nick Nicholson, Jeannie Macpherson, Donis Campell, and Jean and Scott Sanders. Commodore Fran Briskman thanked her Board - Marcia Coxhead, Richard Keast, Sheila Taylor, Patricia Ostrosky, George Powers, Dianne Stebbins, Tom Smith, Gerri Fortino, Shirley Fazzina, and Past Commodore Wayne Millington. Future activities include The Change of Watch and The Annual New Year's Day Brunch. Be sure to watch the 35th Island Estates Memorial Boat Parade on December 12 at 6:30 p.m. with the decorated boats sailing through the Island Estate's canals. They will be passing under the Memorial Causeway Bridge around 8 p.m. This special event is organized in memory of IEYC club members that have "Passed the Bar." This year it is in memory of Past Commodore Linda Struble, Past Commodore John Murray and long time executive board member, Jack Heckert.
