Members of Heisler-Johnson American Legion Post Auxiliary Unit 119 in Largo take time out for a photo while getting ready for the group's annual rummage sale on November 21. Proceeds from the event will help pay for a Christmas party for children in the community. Earlier that day, the ladies had delivered pumpkin pies and other baked goods to Largo Fire Rescue. They also recently prepared 3,600 Christmas cards which will go to servicemen serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Members served ice cream floats to veterans at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center earlier this week. They plan to visit the veterans during the upcoming holidays as well. All Children's Hospital, The House That Faith Built and Pinellas Hope are among the charitable organizations supported by Auxiliary Unit 119, which has also adopted a classroom at Mildred Helms Elementary School.
