Christmas Boat Parade Will Be Held This Saturday
Photo by Carl Wagenfohr The Memorial Holiday Boat Parade, sponsored by the Island Estates Yacht Club, will be held Saturday, December 12, with a rain date of December 13th, at 6:30 p.m. This beautifully illuminated nautical event celebrates the spirit of the holidays and is the club's memorial tribute for cherished members who have passed. This year the club celebrates and honors the lives of Jack Heckert, Linda Struble and John Murray. The decorated boats will assemble at 6:00 p.m. in Mandalay Channel located between Island Estates and Clearwater Beach. At 6:30 p.m. the boats will set sail and parade through many of the Island Estates' canals. They will travel toward Coachman Park arriving at 8:00 p.m., proceeding under the Memorial Causeway Bridge, turning into the Clearwater Marina Channel and finally navigating to the Clearwater Yacht Club judging stand.
