The sound of drums filled the air as the above pictured group of students from Dunedin Elementary School warmed up before the start of the Holiday Parade in Dunedin on December 12.

Clearwater and Largo were well represented at the18th Annual Florida Senior Games State Championships which took place in Lee County and the City of Cape Coral earlier this month. The 23-sport competition attracted some 1700 athletes. Kudos to the following persons who were winners in their age division: Ed Klein of Clearwater (tennis); Caroline Zimmerman of Largo (golf); Ethel Lehmann of Largo (long jump, triple jump and javelin); Al Palumbo of Clearwater (table tennis); Palumbo and Margo Lindsay of Clearwater (table tennis mixed doubles); John Tanner of Clearwater (20K road race and 40K road race); Michael McCollum of Largo (40K road race) ... Congratulations are in order for the following couples celebrating wedding anniversaries: Ric and Carolyn Randall, Frank and Garie Glaze (Dec. 31); John and Judy Genevie (Jan. 4) ... Belated anniversary congrats go to Jesse and Norma-Brooks Parks (Dec. 26); Peter and Mary Watts (Dec. 19) ...
