Big Dog, Cool Cat, Sassy Rabbit Day

CLEARWATER - January brings about the feeling of renewal for many of us. At the Humane Society of Pinellas, they are starting off the New Year featuring their long-term residents. On Saturday, January 23rd from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., they will be hosting their 4th Annual Big Dog, Cool Cat, Sassy Rabbit Day, at the Humane Society of Pinellas located at 3040 State Road 590 in Clearwater.

HSP is promoting Special Pets In Need (SPIN), such as Jewel, a 13-year-old Irish Setter Mix and Carmel who is an independent cat that has been overlooked for nearly 3 years! HSP will bring in some special friends to help share about and educate on responsible pet ownership. Refreshments will be available in the Humane Education Center.

With proof of valid rabies vaccine and license, the first Microchip Clinic for the New Year will be available from 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. This will allow current pet owners to have their own pets' microchipped for only $15! It has been proven that a pets' chance of a safe and prompt return to their family is greatly increased with a microchip.
