CLEARWATER - The Humane Society of Pinellas has been extremely fortunate to have been chosen to benefit from two Pet Food Drives locally. HSP is so happy to be able to now pass this gracious gift on to the members of the community that are in need of help - For 4 DAYS (1/7-1/10) only or until supplies last!
The Hungry Bowl Pet Food DriveTM was sponsored locally by Luv All Creatures, a professional pet service that is associated with Pet Sitters of America. They were assisted by For Paws Hospice in organizing and collecting donations from local businesses that offered to host a drop site. Nationally planned for December 1st-12th, 2009, this was locally requested to extend to 12/25/09. Over 3000 lbs of food was collected.
The Glazer Family Foundation hosted a Humane Society Pet Food Drive on 1/3/10 at Raymond James Stadium. HSP was happy to join The Humane Society of Tampa Bay in benefitting from the amazing support that was received by the fans. HSP's bins were overflowing faster then they could unload them with food, toys and shelter supplies!
Now that HSP has provided for their shelter animals, they are able to offer these generous donations to the pet owners of the community that could use a helping hand. Available are a variety of dog and cat foods, both dry and canned. Visit the shelter. 3040 State Road 590, Clearwater, during business hours; Thursday 11-5:30, Friday 11-7, Saturday and Sunday 10-4. Please, if you do not NEED it, don't take it! If you do, then HSP is so happy to be able to lend a helping hand or paw! (Specific brand requests or orders are not offered.)
