IEYC New Year's Brunch Committee
IEYC celebrated their 38th Annual Change of Watch at the Belleair Country Club. Eighty-eight members and guests enjoyed a warm reception. Cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, annual photo shoot by the Christmas tree, along with the beautifully decorated dining room with ornaments and poinsettias. Before dinner, outgoing Commodore Fran Briskman spoke of the past year and its wonderful memories. She made two presentations: Joel Briskman for organizing the Memorial Lighted Boat Parade and Member of the Year, and Fay Nicholson for Editor of the Scuttlebutt and Member of the Year. Jim Ostrosky, Master of Ceremony, did a wonderful job introducing and orchestrating this event along with committee members, Donis Campbell, Lorraine Pierce, Lee Tetrault, Nancy Lawrence, Gary and Carolyn Bookout, Edward and Jeannette Ziegler, Bess Bentler, and Patricia Ostrosky. The passing of the flags signify the Change of Watch to the New Commodore, Marcia Coxhead, Vice Commodore Richard Keast, Rear Commodore, Shirley Fazzina, Treasurer, Patricia Ostrosky, and Secretary, Sheila Taylor. Directors and others, Gerri Fortino, Tom Smith, Gary Bernard, Jo Dean, Nancy Lawrence, Laurelee Bernard, Carolyn Bookout, Nancy Champion, Chuck Stebbins, and Carolyn Teague. Dinner and the Tim Burnaman's Sax and sounds dance music finished off this black tie Gala Event. Marcia and Ralph Coxhead hosted the Annual New Years' Brunch with chair persons Sue and John Speck and their committee, Jean Sanders, Carolyn Bookout, Char Lynn Daughtery, Barbara Keast, Jackie Leach, Vivian Smith, Jean Rascher, Bess Bentler, Bobbie Adair, Jan Nagy, Arlene Cutro, Ed and Jeannette Ziegler, Marilynn Hall, Lois and Odey O'Donnell. The event gave the chefs of the club a chance to excel and we enjoyed their efforts. We all promised to start our diets next year - 2011.
