
Choral Essence Announces 2010 Concert SeasonThe 2010 Concert Season opens with a new theme song! "Side by Side," composed by Harry Woods and arranged by Jack Litten is a unique arrangement, pitting a sophisticated madrigal against a groove swing style. Choral Essence claims this unique work with its own vocal imprint with new jazz concepts and a "cool" sound. It speaks to the group about how they are 'side by side' in the missiong of outreach to the community and in their common bond to achieve musical excellence. Concerts are open to the public and benefit local food panty and youth charities chosen by the host church venues - donations and/or tickets are arranged by the host churches. With challenging arrangements and sensitive style and blend, Choral Essence presents a fresh approach to jazz, gospel, sprituals, pop and classical music. Choral Essence is committed to musical excellence and dedicated to a community outreach program through benefit concerts. Director Goetze notes that, "Choral Essence is an unaffiliated group of 22 singers from the Tampa Bay area who have made a covenant to volunteer their considerable time and talents for the good of the community. This is their third concert season and proceeds have gone to Religious Community Services, Faith and Action for Strength Together, FEAST (food pantry), Community Church Outreach, Honduras Youth Missions and other youth missions.
