The above pictured participants in the 7th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Good Deeds in Largo were caught on camera as they returned by bus to Ulmer Park on January 16 following a morning of visitation with patients at the Bay Pines Veterans Administration Medical Center. Largo City Commissioner Robert Murray, fourth from left, was among the volunteers who made the trip to St. Petersburg. Volunteers in Largo visited with the homebound, ran errands, took on light housecleaning and painting duties for those in need, helped out with yardwork and more. Following the completion of good deeds, they were treated to a free barbecue lunch and musical entertainment.
