Wine Event To Aid HaitiOn Friday, January 29, 2010, from 5-7 p.m., come and enjoy a wine tasting event sponsored by the Rotary Club of Belleair Bluffs. The event is free, but you are encouraged to contribute whatever funds you wish, as proceeds will aid the relief efforts in earthquake-ravaged Haiti. The event is being held at Carlsen-Wildwood Florist, 1488 Clearwater Largo Rd., Largo, FL 33770. Rotary has been active in Haiti for sometime and there are currently 17 Rotary Clubs there. This is a great advantage, as funds are sent to Rotary clubs there who can quickly direct funds to serve the most immediate needs. Thousands of pounds of food and medical supplies have already been delivered. Rotary also plans to ship shelter boxes, which are structures that can quickly be assembled to provide shelter for earthquake victims.
