Largo Mayor Pat Gerard, far right, chats with Joan and Bob Kocher at the Recreation, Parks & Arts Department's 14th Touch-a-Truck Day at Largo Central Park on January 30. The Kochers brought granddaughter Madison Nicholson to the event which featured fire trucks, dump trucks, power trucks, buses, motorcycles, military vehicles and more. Children had the opportunity to sit in the driver's seat of the trucks and sound the horns. The Public Works vehicle at back is a 2008 Menzi Muck 4-wheel drive articulating slope mower/excavator.
A. Hart of the City of Largo's Solid Waste Division, at back, is pictured with Touch-a-Truck attendees (front, l-r) Ayden Maitner, Emma Murphy-Wanner and Jacob Murphy-Wanner at Largo Central Park on January 30. Hart was on hand to explain the work of the recycling truck shown at left.
