Local Marines To Be HonoredThe Morris F. Dixon, Jr. Detachment #54 of the Marine Corps League in Clearwater will honor 30 local area Marines who gallantly served in the Korean War, also known as The Forgotten War. This special ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, at the Armed Forces Military Museum, 2050 34th Way N., Largo, 33771. The ceremony will also include the dedication of the new Prisoner of War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA) display at the museum and will recognize and honor the service of two local area U.S. Army veterans who were P.O.W.'s during the Korean War.
