Free Shuffleboard Lessons Offered

Barbara and Tom Whalen, at left above, take to the courts following a shuffleboard class conducted by John Brennan at the Clearwater Shuffleboard Club on a recent Wednesday afternoon. The Whalens were among the 32 persons who turned out that day for the free lessons offered by the club, which is located at 1020 Calumet Street. Brennan, who assists regular instructor Glenn Peltier, said 41 persons had shown up for instruction the previous week. Lessons are scheduled on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. through March.
