Hanna Beatrice "Bea" Roof
Hanna Beatrice "Bea" Roof, age 88, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Wenatchee, WA. She was born November 24, 1921 in Saltville, VA. to Martin and Ethel DeBord. She was the oldest of 3 daughters. She married Harold E. Roof on March 29, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio. She retired from Columbus Coated Fabrics, Columbus, OH. in 1979 after 30 years of service, and then retired to Largo, Florida for 21 years. She has been a resident of Wenatchee since 2000. Bea was active in the Order of Eastern Star for 59 years, White Shrine, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Amaranth, Ladies of the Nile and held many offices including presiding officer. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Ruth (Ed) Simmons and Donna (Gary) Bates of Wenatchee, her sisters and brothers-in-law Norma and Lee Roth, Columbus, Ohio and Freda and Keith Cunningham, Sun City West, Arizona, eight grand children and 13 great grand children and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday February 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Jones & Jones ~ Betts Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Susan G.
