Recs and ReadsBy Anne McKay GarrisThe all-new "Shells, Shells, Shells" program will be at the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center, for the next two Tuesdays. How to decorate with shells, making shell decorations, and all about Clearwater's shells, their location and their habits will on the program. The program will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16 and 23. Cost is a $25 donation to the Friends of the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center and Library for both sessions, or $15 each session. There will be hands on working with shell decorating available. Now that we have Florida weather again, you can grab your tennis racket, your basketball, your fishing gear, or even your picnic basket and head out to the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center. The lawn area, west of the Center, has a picnic table and benches. You can enjoy a feast (one purchased at a nearby restaurant, if you wish) and watch the water, the boats, and the birds go by. Or you can be more active with basketball or tennis. It's all there waiting for you to enjoy with the convenience of restroom facilities and a drink and snack machine at the Center.
