Ombudsman Manager Speaks to Abilities Guild MembersNatalie Clanzy, Ombudsman Manager, spoke at the Abilities Guild Luncheon on March 12th at the Dunedin Country Club. Presenting the many services that the Ombudsman program offers to seniors in Pinellas and Pasco Counties, she stated this is a volunteer program that helps resolves issues brought forth by the senior, a family member, staff member or caretaker. She explained that the Ombudsman, although not a legal person, is able to refer to resolve issues. This was an appropriate program for the members, since their mission is to help raise funds for the Abilities Foundation, which provides job training, job placement, and housing and recreational assistance to the disabled. This year's fundraising event, "Buffet and Sinatra" will be held at Carlouel Yacht Club on Friday, April 9, at 6:00 p.m., where the musical duo, Buffet and Sinatra, will perform on the club patio. Cost of $65/person ($30/person tax deductible) offers a cash bar, "Buffet" and "Sinatra", food stations, as well as soup and salad stations. Public is invited.
